Moldova Religious & Humanitarian Activities Visa From Bangladesh

Moldova Religious & Humanitarian Activities Visa (D/RU) from Bangladesh

The Moldova Religious & Humanitarian Activities Visa (D/RU) is a Long-Stay Type D Visa for foreign nationals travelling to Moldova for religious or humanitarian activities.

Before applying, you must have a genuine connection with an eligible religious institution or humanitarian organisation in Moldova. For Bangladeshi applicants, the required invitation must come through Moldova’s General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM).

In addition, applicants normally need a volunteer contract or collaboration agreement and supporting documents from the Moldovan organization.

Once the required Moldova-side documents are ready, you can submit your visa documents to our Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka Office for processing support. Sticker Visa provides documentation and visa processing support for Moldova D/RU applications through VFS Global under the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi.

If you need help preparing or reviewing your documents, you may take our Visa Consulting Support.

Important: Sticker Visa does not arrange religious organisations, humanitarian organisations, volunteer placements, collaboration agreements or IGM invitations in Moldova.

Who Can Apply for Moldova D/RU Visa?

The Moldova D/RU Visa may apply to foreign nationals travelling for:

  • Humanitarian activities
  • Volunteer humanitarian activities
  • Activities connected with a recognized religious organisation
  • Other eligible religious or humanitarian activities

Therefore, the purpose of travel must be genuine and supported by a relevant Moldovan organisation.

A Moldova Type D visa generally allows a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Where applicable, the applicant may then continue with the required residence process in Moldova.

Important Information About the IGM Invitation

For Bangladeshi D/RU applicants, the required invitation must come through Moldova’s General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM).

Therefore, the following documents do not replace the IGM Invitation:

  • Religious Organisation Invitation Letter
  • Church, Mosque or Religious Institution Letter
  • NGO Invitation
  • Humanitarian Organisation Letter
  • Volunteer Invitation
  • Collaboration Letter

However, these documents may support the purpose of the application.

Sticker Visa cannot issue or arrange an IGM Invitation from Bangladesh.

D/RU Visa vs Short-Stay Visa

The D/RU Visa is intended for long-stay religious or humanitarian activities.

However, if your visit is only for a short-term religious, cultural or humanitarian purpose, a Short-Stay Type C Visa may be more appropriate.

  • Immigration or security checks

Moreover, applicants should allow extra time for document and passport transit between Bangladesh and New Delhi.
