Apply for Moldova Family Reunification Visa from ‘Sticker Visa’ Bangladesh Office
A Moldova Family Reunification Visa allows eligible family members to join a qualifying family member living in the Republic of Moldova. For applicants from Bangladesh, this is generally processed as a Long-Stay Type D/VF Visa and requires the relevant Moldova-side immigration approval before the visa application can proceed.
- The Moldova Family Reunification Visa (D/VF) is a Long-Stay Type D Visa for eligible family members who intend to join their family in the Republic of Moldova.
- Before applying, you must first obtain the required family reunification approval from Moldova’s General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM).
- For Bangladeshi applicants, an Invitation issued through Moldova’s General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM) is also required unless an applicable exemption under Moldovan visa rules applies.
- In addition, applicants must provide genuine documents proving their family relationship with the person they intend to join in Moldova.
- Once the required Moldova-side immigration documents are ready, you can prepare the documents listed below and submit them to our Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka Office for Moldova Family Reunification Visa processing support.
- If you need assistance preparing or reviewing the required documents, you may use our Visa Consulting Support.
- From Bangladesh, Sticker Visa provides documentation and processing support for Moldova Family Reunification Visa applications processed under the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi through VFS Global.
Important: Sticker Visa cannot issue or arrange the IGM family reunification approval or IGM Invitation from Bangladesh. These documents must be arranged through the eligible family member and relevant authority in Moldova.
Who Can Apply for Moldova Family Reunification Visa – D/VF?
Eligible third-country nationals may apply for a Moldova Family Reunification Visa when they intend to join a qualifying family member in the Republic of Moldova for family reunification.
Depending on the applicant’s family circumstances and the applicable immigration rules, eligible family members may include:
- Spouse
- Minor children
- Parents
- Persons under tutorship or guardianship
- A partner with whom a Moldovan citizen has common minor children, where applicable
In addition, Moldova classifies the Family Reunification Visa as a Type D/VF Long-Stay Visa.
Although it is a long-stay visa, a Moldova Type D visa generally allows the holder to enter and remain in Moldova for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Where applicable, the family member must complete the required residence formalities with the relevant Moldovan authorities after arrival in order to continue residing in Moldova under the family reunification route.

- Fully completed and signed Moldova Visa Application Form.
- Two recent colour photographs – 35mm × 45mm, white background and according to the applicable Moldova/VFS photo specifications.
- IGM Family Reunification Approval – Acceptance issued by Moldova’s competent immigration authority confirming that the legal requirements for family reunification have been met.
- IGM Invitation – For Bangladeshi applicants, the required invitation must be issued through Moldova’s General Inspectorate for Migration, unless the applicant qualifies for an accepted exemption under Moldovan visa rules.
Family Relationship and Financial Documents
- Proof of Family Relationship, such as:
- Marriage Certificate
- Birth Certificate
- Other relevant civil-status or guardianship documents, depending on the relationship
- Documents of the Family Member in Moldova – Copies of the relevant passport, identity document, residence document or other supporting documents of the person whom the applicant will join in Moldova, where applicable.
- Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) – Criminal record from the applicant’s country of origin, translated into Romanian or English as required. Applicants under 16 years of age are exempt from the criminal-record requirement under the applicable rules.
- For Bangladeshi Type D applicants, the current VFS requirements state that the PCC must be legalized by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova.
- Proof of Financial Means – A bank statement issued not more than 10 days before submission, showing sufficient means of support. The current requirement refers to at least EUR 30 per day of stay, with a minimum of EUR 300 for a stay of less than 10 days.
- Where applicable, instead of the applicant’s own financial evidence, a maintenance and accommodation commitment completed and signed by a person in Moldova may be submitted according to the applicable requirements.
Additional Supporting Documents

- For Minor Applicants – Birth certificate and passport/document of the legal representative, together with any other applicable parental or guardianship documents.

In addition, colour photocopies of the relevant original documents and Moldova-issued documents should also be prepared where required.
Kindly prepare the above documents and contact us to submit your Moldova Long-Stay Family Reunification Visa application upon appointment at our office.
Very Important Regarding Family Reunification Approval
Having a family member living in Moldova does not automatically qualify an applicant for a D/VF visa.
Before applying, the relevant Moldova-side family reunification procedure must normally be completed and the applicant must obtain:
1. Approval confirming that the conditions for family reunification have been met
and
2. IGM Invitation, where required
Therefore, a normal:
- Invitation letter from spouse
- Marriage Certificate
- Birth Certificate
- Copy of residence permit
- Personal invitation letter
does not by itself replace the required IGM immigration approval or invitation.
Please note that Sticker Visa cannot issue or arrange these Moldova-side immigration documents from Bangladesh.

Moldova Family Reunification Visa Processing Time
For applicants from Bangladesh, the current VFS Global guidance indicates that the Moldova Family Reunification Visa may take approximately:
Minimum 10–15 working days
However, this is an indicative processing period only. The Embassy may take longer depending on the individual application and the circumstances of the case.
Factors that may affect the processing time include:
- Applicant’s individual circumstances
- Verification of the family relationship
- Verification of Moldova-side immigration documents
- Requests for additional documents
- Further assessment by the Embassy
In addition, applicants should allow extra time for the passport and supporting documents to move between Bangladesh and New Delhi, where applicable.
However, the family reunification approval and IGM invitation procedures in Moldova are separate from the visa application process. The time required to obtain these Moldova-side documents is not included in the visa processing period mentioned above.
Therefore, applicants should begin the Moldova Family Reunification Visa process well in advance and complete the required Moldova-side family reunification procedures before arranging final visa submission.
Moldova Family Reunification Visa Fees
According to the current VFS Global Moldova–India fee schedule applicable to applicants from Bangladesh, the following charges may apply:
- Family Reunification Visa – D/VF: USD 94
- VFS Service Fee for Bangladesh: BDT 1,965
- PCC Legalization Fee: USD 29, where applicable
- Logistics / Courier Charges: Additional charges may apply
For applicants from Bangladesh, the current VFS instructions require payment of the applicable visa fee by Telegraphic Transfer (TT) in US Dollars, following the payment instructions provided by the Embassy.
In addition, current VFS information states that applicants under 18 years of age are exempt from the visa fee. However, the applicable VFS service charge still applies.
Please note that government visa fees, VFS service charges, PCC legalization fees, logistics charges and payment procedures may change.
Therefore, applicants should always confirm the latest applicable fees and payment instructions before making any payment.
Sticker Visa’s consultation, documentation and visa processing charges are separate from the official Embassy, VFS and other government-related fees.

Looking for a Moldova Short-Stay Family/Friends Visit Visa?

The Moldova Family Reunification Visa is intended for eligible applicants who plan to join qualifying family members in Moldova under the long-stay family reunification route.
However, if you only intend to visit family or friends in Moldova for a short period, you should apply under the appropriate Moldova Short-Stay Type C Visa category instead.
